When I lived in Atlanta, and later in Orlando, I used to spend my Sunday nights winding down from the weekend listening to two ambient music programs on NPR, Echoes and Hearts of Space. When I moved to New England, unfortunately none of the public radio stations up here carried either of these two programs. When I got broadband, I used to listen to streams of both programs, but now both have switched to a subscription model, and I don't listen enough to warrant a subscription. Thanks to a friend, I recently discovered SomaFM, which provides six different free streams and is listener supported. I can pay what I feel is more realistic based on my usage. I highly recommend it.
