New Recipe
Mere and I came up with a great new recipe and we are calling it Pasta Marinaio (Sailor's Pasta.) It is a little unconventional because it features feta cheese, which is of course Greek in origin (hence the name Sailor's Pasta - we have a vision of a sailor coming home from a trip to Greece with some feta cheese and incorporating it into a dish.
Here are the ingredients. We think the timing of the adding of the ingredients may need to be worked out:
olive oil
garlic (coarsely chopped)
chicken sausage (pre-cooked)
fresh basil (coarsely chopped)
artichoke hearts
snap peas
black olives
tomatoes
feta cheese
pasta
I'm sure we could come up with actual quantities on these. This dish could also benefit from some red onions and possibly spinach. Basically add the items above (except the feta) to a frying pan in order and serve with the feta over pasta. If you start the oil and garlic at the same time you start the water for the pasta, you should have all the items ready to go when the pasta is done.
We enjoyed this with a Beaujolais.
